I painted a method of digging oneself out from the bottom of a pit - digging a path in the wall and climbing up it. While digging, unexpected discoveries emerge, mineral veins, and more. The painting juxtaposes the winner's cup and the bottom of the pit.Upon closer inspection or with a magnifying glass, a person working is painted in the cup. Of course, while working, I did not miss the opportunity to enjoy the composition.
